Opening of the New UNI.Space ŠKODA AUTO and Innovation Day at VŠE

On Monday, April 14, 2025, the Prague University of Economics and Business hosted an event called Innovation Day by ŠKODA AUTO, offering a rich program for students, alumni, and employees of VŠE.

A significant event within the program was the grand opening of a branded space at VŠE called UNI.Space ŠKODA AUTO, located on the 1st floor of the Rajská Building. The entire space underwent significant modernization and will be actively used primarily by students for relaxation between classes, self-study, or meeting friends. The space is freely accessible during the university’s regular opening hours, and no registration is required for entry.

The grand opening was attended by VŠE representatives, including Rector Petr Dvořák, Vice-Rector for Development and Corporate Relations Ota Novotný, and Bursar Tomáš Zouhar. Representing ŠKODA AUTO were Mr. Stanislav Pekař (Head of After Sales), Jan Chmelík (Head of Organizational Development and HR Management), and Alex vom Hofe (Head of Recruitment and Employer Branding). In addition to the aforementioned, other individuals who have long been involved in the development of the strategic partnership between VŠE and ŠKODA AUTO also attended. This unique branded space project at VŠE was initiated by the VŠE Partnership Centre and ŠKODA AUTO representatives. In this context, we would like to thank the company representatives for their excellent cooperation and look forward to its further development.

Throughout the day, the ŠKODA AUTO RoadShow took place in the outdoor areas near the Rajská Building, where the company presented its latest models, such as the Enyaq, Superb, and Elroq. Participants had the opportunity to enjoy excellent coffee for free, prepared in a specially modified Elroq car with a built-in café. There was also a professional lecture for visitors by ŠA IT department employees focused on electromobility and automotive manufacturing trends. VŠE management representatives also took advantage of this opportunity to test the mentioned models and learn more about electromobility in the context of university operations and campuses.

The day’s program was complemented by selected lectures for students from faculties collaborating with ŠKODA AUTO. The lecture topics included the latest trends and processes in the automotive industry, such as Value Engineering, Strategic Changes in Aftersales, and Metal Purchasing. At the end of the program, ŠKODA AUTO prepared a Pub Quiz for students with valuable prizes, including refreshments and information about career opportunities at ŠKODA AUTO.
