Faculty of Finance and Accounting
The Faculty of Finance and Accounting (FFA) provides high-quality higher education in bachelor‘s, master‘s, and doctoral study programs to ensure that their graduates get the best opportunities in the fields of finance, accounting, and related areas on an international scale. We fulfill this mission with a qualified team of academic staff, both internal and external collaborators who, in addition to teaching, contribute to research and publication activities, contract research, and closely cooperate with professional organizations, and government and nongovernment institutions. In addition, the faculty offers specialized lifelong education programs, an MBA, professional courses, and a master‘s program in English.
Faculty of International Relations
The Faculty of International Relations (FIR) provides higher education and advances knowledge in the fields of international business, international studies and diplomacy, tourism, and hospitality management. It profiles itself as a faculty rooted in internationalization with a high nnumber of international students and academics with international experience. The faculty has established an accredited internship system that allows students to gain practical experience during their studies. It collaborates with a large number of private companies and institutions in organizing various professional events, lectures, and competitions for students. Due to its broad focus, the Faculty of International Relations is prepared to collaborate with companies and institutions from a wide range of different fields.
Faculty of Business Administration
The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) belongs to the top tier in Europe. It prepares future managers for practice with excellent knowledge and skills in the areas of management, strategy, corporate finance, marketing, commerce, human resources, and logistics so that they can succeed in the international competitive environment. The faculty offers close cooperation with corporate partners in both teaching and research. It places significant emphasis on the international dimension of all activities – including teaching in foreign languages, international student and staff exchanges, as well as international recognition of research activities. The attainment of two prestigious international accreditations – EQUIS
and AMBA – confirms its success. No other faculty or university in the Czech Republic has obtained these accreditations, and globally, it ranks among the top 1% of all economic schools.Thanks to its international accreditations and consistent rankings in the Financial Times, it is the only Czech faculty in the company of universities such as HEC Paris, London Business School, and the University of St. Gallen
Faculty of Informatics and Statistics
The Faculty of Informatics and Statistics (FIS) is a unique institution that prepares students in the fields of informatics, economics, and quantitative disciplines. Besides offering programs in informatics and quantitative fields, the faculty also provides two professional study programs in the field of data analytics. These programs include subjects focused on data science, data engineering, and data management. Within these programs, students are required to complete internships, which are carried out in collaboration with faculty partners. In total, the faculty prepares more than two and a half thousand students for the most sought-after careers in the field of informaticsand data analytics, making it one of the largest informatics faculties in the Czech Republic. The faculty has a well-established long-term collaboration program with its partners, both companies and public sector entities.
Faculty of Economics
The Faculty of Economics (FoEcon) at VŠE has been among the top economic faculties in the Czech Republic since 2010. It provides its students with education in the fields of economics, economic policy, economic history, regional studies, and public administration. Studies at the Faculty of Economics equip students with deep analytical thinking, teach them to work with complex data sets, and, most importantly, focus on the development of critical thinking. Graduates of the Faculty of Economics work in high-ranking positions in state administration, and local government, and also hold significant roles in senior management positions in private companies. Graduates or even students from the faculty are
among the prominent members of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The Faculty of Economics hosts
lectures by the most important representatives of state administration and top executives of major corporations. The Faculty of Economics significantly contributes to solving practical economic and political issues, both at the national and international levels. Among other things, it participates in the conceptualization of the development of the energy industry, the involvement of Czech companies in the completion of nuclear reactors at Temelín 2 and Dukovany 2, as well as in addressing agricultural issues.
Faculty of Management
The Faculty of Management (FM), located in Jindřichův Hradec, is the youngest and the only nonPrague-based faculty of the Prague University of Economics and Business. With its focus on the field of management, it primarily attracts those who want to concentrate on management and leadership in their professional lives. In collaboration with partner organizations, it strives to connect theory with practice under all circumstances, whether through internships, field trips, or involving partners in the teaching process. Additionally, it provides students with almost unlimited opportunities for self-realization through individual or faculty projects and student associations. Because the faculty is an integral part of the region, it actively seeks ways to contribute to its growth, whether by supporting the business environment, collaborating with local organizations, or enhancing the socio-cultural life of the community.
Additional cooperation opportunities with VŠE
The VŠE Career Center facilitates contact between employers and students/alumni, organizes career fairs, and helps arrange corporate internships and job offers for students. Partners can also organize attractive lectures, workshops, and other events in collaboration with the university.
The VŠE Event Center organizes major events for students and graduates, providing partners with many opportunities for brand visibility and active involvement in event programs.
Partners seeking spaces for training, conferences, or annual company meetings can utilize VŠE‘s quality event services and combine this cooperation with partnership opportunities. The university offers attractive venues in the center of Prague and training and recreational facilities across the Czech Republic.
VŠE conducts numerous high-quality research projects focused on current economic and business topics, including ESG, hybrid work, economic modeling, optimization, and employee and marketing surveys. These projects can be carried out directly for corporate partners or funded in collaboration with external sources. Support for young researchers and scientific journal publications is also welcome.
The VŠE Alumni Center fosters collaboration with graduates from all faculties, maintaining contact through various events throughout the year. Partners can engage with active alumni and support this agenda at the university with our cooperation.
VŠE is home to many exceptional athletes, and partnering companies can support talented and well-known students in their careers and studies through scholarships. Partners can also support sports teams and events or promote their brand in VŠE sports halls.
The xPORT Business Accelerator at VŠE helps innovative ideas and startups build successful businesses and fosters a strong startup community. Partners can support the accelerator‘s activities and interesting events.
The Center for Students with Specific Needs aims to facilitate the studies of disabled students. As a partner, you can support the center‘s activities or even support a specific student with disabilities, such as aiding their career or helping with international exchange.
