Petr Dvořák Was Elected Head of Prague University of Economics and Business
The Academic Senate of the Prague University of Economics and Business has elected a new Rector doc. Ing. Petr Dvorak, Ph.D. The term of office of the new Rector will begin on April 1, 2022, and will last until March 31, 2026. Petr Dvořák received the required majority of votes in the first round of secret ballot of the Academic Senate of the Prague University of Economics and Business. He received twenty-five out of thirty-one votes.
During his career so far, Petr Dvořák has worked at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at the Prague University of Economics and Business, where he also held the position of Dean in the years 2006-2014. Since 2014, Mr. Dvořák has been the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. Petr Dvořák also works closely with the practice and is, among other things, a member of the Supervisory Board of Komerční banka and the ČNB Appeals Commission.
Petr Dvořák replaces prof. Ing. Hana Machková, CSc. in the position, who ran the Prague University of Economics and Business for two terms.
